Description: The ever so desirable Hermes 3K (3000) with the curved body! No matter who you are, once you try a well serviced Hermes 3000, no other typewriter will be the same again.
A curved aluminum body with a calming green paint job and soft indented keys are just some of the stand outs of this well engineered machine. It has a unique margin set feature that lets you see your margin placement through a thin viewing window built into the paper bail. It has a colour selector that lets you pick black, red, or half black/half red (using a black/red ribbon), it has basket shift, touch control and a big ol' carriage return lever.
This typewriter was a popular model among writers like Jack Kerouac, Sylvia Plath, Sam Sheppard, and Tom Hanks.
This machine is a workhorse and has been througly cleaned, tuned up and is ready to go back into circulation. It has some paint loss and a few signs of wear but has loads of character! If only it could talk of its past lives.
This typewriter is being sold with its original clamshell lid.
